RES is proposing to develop the Iron Leaf Wind Farm, located within the South Burnett Council area, approximately 30km west of Kingaroy and 8km north-west of Kumbia.

Following preliminary assessments, RES will be reaching out to the local community throughout 2022 to understand the impacts and opportunities that may flow from a renewable energy project in the region.

If developed, the Iron Leaf Wind Farm will deliver significant local benefits within the proposed Southern Queensland Renewable Energy Zone (Southern QREZ), through local employment opportunities and benefit sharing programs with the local community.

Meet the Project Team

In October, RES is hosting further community information sessions to hear feedback on the amended design and understand the impacts and opportunities that may flow from a renewable energy project in the region. The local community is encouraged to attend these sessions to meet the project team, find out more information about the proposed project and give their feedback.

Ironpot Farmers Hall - Tuesday, 18 October, 10am - 1pm

Kumbia Memorial Hall - Tuesday 18 October, 4pm - 7pm

Burrandowan Racetrack, Burri Burri Rd, Chahpingah - Wednesday 19 Octboer 9am - 12pm
